River Hamme
We cut across country to reach Ritterhude to take a train to Bremen. Unfortunately, one of my hiking friend's dogs has fallen ill so we decided to shorten the hike. The dog is dying from lung cancer and naturally he wants to spend the time that's left with her.
On the pic you can see the river Hamme, one of the three rivers that drain the Teufelsmoor moorland. Although it looked like rain all the time, there were only a few drops. We managed to walk for hours without meeting another person but we couldn`t escape the overhead powerline- it's so hard toget away from civilization... ;-) I find these transmission lines and their towers an eerie sight when there are no people around. Did you know they start humming when it's windy? Uncanny!!!
I hope you had a lovely weekend too =D
