Do You Remember Mary?

Another July back-blip...

About 110 years ago, Peter's wife was nearing the end of her life. The inscription, carved in 1902, indicates that she is gone but not forgotten, as was certainly true at the time. Now, over a century later, I will assume that nobody alive today remembers this lady who was born over 170 years ago, at least not in the sense of having met her in person. It makes me wonder what people will think, 110 years from now, about the photographic inscriptions now being used on grave markers.
