Cyanotype Experiments
Well, back from Finland after a wonderful stay with very good weather and the hospitality of so many friends old and new. Due in part to having no mains electricity or internet access at the summer cottage I have been out of circulation for some time but right now I am going to try to back blip two weeks of work pulled hastily from the memory cards. It's going to take ages to sift through them all. I shot rather more stuff than intended!!
About a year ago I mentioned that I was about to try some experiments in pinhole and cyanotype photography. Well a pinhole you saw long ago but I only got around to the cyanotypes while away on holidays. These are simply enough made by placing the chosen object on the sensitised paper and exposing for about 10 minutes under a bright sun. Development is a simple matter of washing in running water for a few minutes. Fun to do and making a connection right back to the very beginnings of the great adventure that is photography.
