This is Kristina's Life

Home Sweet Home

Woke up this morning at the far more reasonable hour of 7AM and even still I was not the first one up. Karin had me beat by 2 hours.

We were greeted to the sight of a dead lizard sitting in the middle of the kitchen, happily being feasted on by a few ants. Joy. Karin and I swept it up and I tossed it outside. I'm really getting tired of finding lizards in this house. In fact, only 20 minutes ago I had the pleasure of removing one (still alive) from behind the TV. At least they're decreasing in numbers: 6 found on the first night, none found yesterday, and 2 found today. Gross.

While waiting for our lazy parents to get up, Karin and I went snorkeling. It wasn't as enjoyable as yesterday, considering it was high tide and not as sunny. I hate deep water and while yesterday I could walk out beyond the dock and still be in only 3 feet of water, this morning the water was above my head far before the end of the dock. Just what I hate: deep, dark water. From now on, I'll do my snorkeling at low tide in the afternoon.

It's now 10:15AM and we'll be leaving soon for Hope Town. This means I have to drive the boat through an extremely busy harbor and attempt to dock it while plenty of experienced boaters watch me in horror. Double joy. I seriously hope this goes okay. If it does, Karin and I will go snorkeling along one of the biggest reefs in the Bahamas and I'll finally get the chicken strips and fries I've been craving.

Keep me in your prayers please. I don't want this boat-driving thing to ruin the rest of the trip. Yikes!

And as always, thanks for stopping by! :)
