On the way home from Carl's place I stopped off for a bit of a walk around Killiney and Dalkey. There were a few people fishing on a bit of a promontory near the little park near the corner of Colliemore Road and Sorrento Road. I almost didn't make it as far as where they were because, naturally enough, since it's the August holiday weekend, it had begun to rain, but it was only light drizzle really, so I continued on. This fisherman decided it was wet enough to warrant putting on his wet gear. Me, never a fisherman, I would have just given up and gone for a nice warming cup of coffee.
