Agrabah

This is my eldest daughter (8) in a rare moment of stillness post-rainstom in the evening. She's been going to the kids club here and has made a few new pals, and quite often now just announces to us now that she's seen so-and-so in the pool and is going swimming or going to go and meet someone. There's a real girl gang thing going on there, a thing which our youngest daughter(5) is not quite so into. but she has made friends with the two boys (4 and 6) in the next caravan and we see this as A Good Thing Most Definitely.

The entertaiment team put on their new show of Aladdin tonight. Eldest was desperate to go and I took her along. Might as well have sent her by herself, just accompanied by her growing independence.
