Ton-Up

This bike belongs to a friend of mine and I have used an app on my iPhone to show more about it. I am not exactly an enthusiast on bikes but is a Great Bike!!! I have had a few lifts and it is very comfortable to sit on and has a back rest too. It is a silver Pan European made by Honda. I once did 100 mph on the back of his previous one and exhilarating it may be but I was very nervous. I have not repeated the experience! Ton-up came about in the 1950's when a rocker sub culture arose after war rationing finished and people took finance packages out to afford to buy motorbikes. The rockers and rock n roll music were synonymous and they haunted cafes and were sometimes known as Coffee Bar Cowboys.
