At last...
After three visits to the same 50 hectares of woodland looking for this one reported sighting of a broad-leaved helleborine I'd almost given up. I was watching a toad (almost certainly a princess) when I noticed that it (or she) was sat right next to the helleborine I'd been looking for. The drooping flowers have a pink and white lower lip and the inside is brown. It has broad oval leaves at the base which become progressively narrower and smaller higher up the stem. Not a rare orchid by any means but certainly scarce locally and I'm glad I found it and a second one just coming into flower.
