Moscow. W4.

I spotted this fantastic dome as I zoomed through Chiswick on the A4 recently, & thought "Blip!". So today I hopped onto my bicycle & peddled over there to get a closer look.
The dome belongs to the Russian Orthodox Cathedral, built in 1998. It seems the Russian Orthodox Church has links to London dating back as far as 1698, but its history is complicated, with many theological & political schisms. shotlandka may know more about this?
What I can tell you is that this is the first purpose-built Orthodox Church in the UK & it makes a jolly good perch!
