Optimo pt2
It was a fantastic night at Optimo. So many good tunes and loads of blasts from the past. Tracks I'd not heard in a club in fifteen years at least. The crowd was fantastic too, really friendly and loads of energy, that's not really unusual for Optimo though. It was bloody hot in there though, the sweat was pouring off me by the end.
We got back to the hotel at about half three and had a quick drink then passed out. Thankfully the hotel had a very civilised policy of serving breakfast up until eleven am so we got up, had a good breakfast then headed out round Glasgow.
We had a couple of birthday pressies to buy so we hit the shops first then walked along the river to the new Riverside transport museum. It was well worth the visit, but if I was going back I'd do it during school holidays as is was almost as packed as the Sub Club the night before.
After the museum we walked up to Kelvingrove an had a coffee then spent a couple of hours walking around there. When we eventually left at closing time we were starting to get hungry again so we popped across the road to get a bite to eat at the Mother India Cafe.
After that it was back to the hotel to investigate the free movies on demand which, along with free wi-fi and an iPod dock, were some of the cool extras in the hotel. We opted for Dinner for schmucks which was a US remake of Le Dîner de Cons. Roz reckoned it was pretty funny, but I passed out quite soon into it.
