The gathering storm

Another hot day in the east but thankfully I'm far enough east to benefit from a sea breeze. The heatwave is supposed to break today and tomorrow and the clouds are certainly building up nicely.

As I said a couple of weeks ago, one of the most wonderful things about living in this part of the world is the amazingly big skies.

My car had to go for its MOT today. The garage is about a 20 minute drive away but I'm very lucky in that I can avoid main roads and use country lanes to get there. As I drove back from picking the car up this afternoon the cloudscape became more and more interesting.

This, I think, is the best shot. There are others which I might add links to later. I could watch clouds like this for a very long time. Wonder when the storms will arrive?
