I think this is a magical plant. I think it's some sort of papyrus? Anyway, you break off one of the leaves, turn it upside down in water and roots grow. Then you put it in soil and new leaves grow up, in the different direction to the original leaves. It needs loads of water and some people actually grow it in ponds etc. Fab.
