Had to play one of my 'Emergency Blip' cards today. I walk past - and if I want a detour, through - this graveyard most days. In fact, if I stop off at Vin Monopolet on the way, walking through the graveyard is the quickest route home.
It is really rather nice - peaceful and well-kept - and plays much of the role of a national cemetery for Norway. Ibsen and Munch and Alf Prøysen (who wrote the Mrs Pepperpot books) are all buried here, as are many hundreds, possibly thousands, of the good citizens of Oslo. Many, though not all, have their profession on their gravestones, and here is a photographer who appears to have died at 42.
Ibsen and Munch and Prøysen are also in the Emergency Blip pack, but I will save them for some major emergencies.
