Bull race

Bull Race is a very popular summer sport in rural West Bengal. It takes place in the muddy water of the paddy fields just before sowing begins in the monsoon. Locally it is known as 'Moichhara'. A pair of bull which is managed by one jockey ( Moel) is considered as one unit.
