Trooper

On February 17, 2011, I entered a photo of Trooper. At that time, I had no idea that
he would still be around in August. He has stayed all through summer and now seems in very poor condition. He is still eating and aggressive to birds that try to chase him away from the food that I put out. I named him Trooper, as you can see, it takes a lot to stay alive when you have special needs, such as an over-grown bill.
I also posted another Thrasher with special needs later. His foot and leg do not work well but he is still around and I love to see the energy they put forth each day.
Trooper is a Curved-bill Thrasher and belong to the Mocking Bird Family. They can sing like a dream. Enjoy my special needs birds. Alma
