In August, and September when it was warm, PE and Games took place either on the massive playing fields, or on the Tennis Courts.

On The tennis courts we occassionally played tennis, but mostly played Netball.

I loved netball.

One late afternoon, we were all sitting enjoying the sun, and watching other teams play a round robin game.

As was the way of young girls, we were all tormenting each other, saying, *Bzz Bzz Bzz", and then nipping each other. We laughed and "stung" each other, amusing ourselves until it was our turn to get on the court.

I moved away from the nipping, and stretched my legs and crossed them over, and felt a really sharp nip. I lifted one leg from the other and out buzzed a wasp.

"ouch", I got stung.

"yeah, sure you did" they all said!

That was my only ever sting.
