Till The Morning Comes

To say that thoughts in the night
can be dark
might be stating the obvious.

To write that a little light creeping in
through the curtains gives hope
might be overstating the case.

But in the early hours,
as darkness makes way for light,
these obvious and overstated thoughts occur.

Let them happen. Allow them to form.
Give them space to comfort you
till the morning comes
