a bit early for Christmas

Was walking (torn calf means I can"t quite run) back from the gym along the Bow this evening and encountered a few Canada geese. There are a lot of them around but they tend not to feature in my blips.

I caught this one walking towards me to within about a yard, but I was put off by another one nearby which started hissing aggressively at me (at least i think it was at me).

After downloading, i was struck by the concentric pattern the feathers seem to make around the core of its body.

This goose looks pretty well fattened to me and could possibly surpass the one I enjoyed in December.
