Celebration of Light

The Celebration of Light is an annual competition between competing countries to put on the best firework display, set to music. There is a barge in English Bay that the fireworks are launched from. Saturday was China and tonight was Spain. They might be just about broke, but this is about national pride and Spain put on a magnificent show.

We headed down to Kits beach which was packed full of people. It has been very hot and the evening was very balmy. Great fun, though and worth keeping the children up for.
