The blue yonder
We went to the newly reopened museum today. The girls scampered from one thing to another, I found it all a bit overwhelming. There were A LOT of people, it was very noisy, it was very warm and I had mistakenly put thermal socks on and it felt as though my feet were on fire. It's a beautiful space, but being so open plan, I found it difficult to take much in. As always we graduated to all things Egyptian and I was smitten by a ball of delicate linen thread from the Qurnah Burial. We had lunch in the Elephant House, which made Murron very happy. She was fascinated by its link with J K Rowling.
We returned home on the train to find a patient doggo desperate for a walk. I rewarded him with a run on the beach. We almost had it to ourselves and I was able to let the day go. All the commotion of the city floating off into the blue yonder....
