Corsairs & 'the crazy war'.

« La folle guerre »
is how the Acadians described the American War of Independence - English fighting English (or as they say 'bloke contre bloke' and 'bloke' not being a term of endearment in Québec.)

This is a local historian at the annual fund raising brunch for the Acadian Museum here in Bonaventure. He is preparing an exhibition about the three waves of local corsairs and pirates that took advantage of changing political landscapes in order to 'ply' their trade during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. Prime example of such turmoil was, of course, "la folle guerre" - one which the Acadians profited thus from.

The exhibition will feature confirmation of those families who are descended from such nefarious characters. Will Cayen's bloodline remain true blue and unsullied by such a taint?
The tension is killing me!
