Wise old bird!

Super sunny bright day, so I managed to get out into the garden and make a start on the digging.

This is the oldest of my hens, she's four years old, and looking a bit under the weather lately so, while I was digging, I took her into the garden with me and she had her fill of juicy worms and beetles! Just as a little treat to give her a bit of a boost, you understand!

She then decided as she was out of the paddock, she would take the opportunity to do a bit of exploring, and found the bird feeder. Ollie couldn't believe his eyes - a hen out of the field, roaming about, eating bird feed - he kept running back and fore, making sure I knew where she was and what she was doing! He kept trying to round her up, but was very gentle, and she totally ignored him!
