Loktak Lake
Largest freshwater lake in the North Eastern India. A trip down there today with Amu while we're on our way to a Shradh ceremony at Sunusiphai, Bishnupur District.
This lake has been the landing zone for migratory birds and housed the Brow Antlered Deer in its unique floating habitat in the Keibul Lamjao area of the lake. Morever, the rich source of fishes and water plants sustain the people of the area and also make for the livelihood of numerous inhabitants in and around the lake.
