Today's the day ........................ to get wet

Well I'm afraid we're back to typical Lake District summer weather. The weather forecast said light showers - but they seemed pretty heavy to me. You just feel sorry for people who have come here on holiday and find themselves tramping about in yes, this wonderful scenery - in the pouring rain for the week.

This is Lake Windermere today with the hills behind shrouded in mist and fog and probably bucketing rain. There were three dinghies out there obviously undergoing some training exercise - with a safety boat in attendence.

Actually, I don't suppose the weather made much difference to them. They probably ended the day soaked to the skin either from the rain - or from a dip in the lake .........................
