There Is A Light

That Never Goes Out. .

Probetag (trial day) today and at around 4 this afternoon I was asked to have a word with der Boss.

So, would I like a job? says he. For 6 months and then we'll see. It's programming and I'll be getting some experience that I don't have.

That was a surprise. The day had started with me being given a 75 technical page specification (in German) and asked to read it and then ask whatever questions I wanted.

The first word in the document was one I hadn't seen before and things went downhill from there. I was getting bogged down in too many words I didn't know and then I remembered a couple of things people here had said and that helped. So thank you - you helped stop me running out the building at 11 this morning.

I was so happy I forgot to feel sorry for biting his hand off.

From the 15th of this month I will be a commuter. Moot is not impressed.
