Today the sun won.
I was reminded of that Aesop's Fables today, you know.... the one where the wind and the sun have the competition to make the man take his coat off. It was certainly true in Orkney today. Folk were down to T.shirts!
Stunning beautiful day. Felt like Summer was heading this way, especially when we hooked up the solar panel to our little burbling fountain in the pond.
Our spring bulbs have suffered from the wind and cold and wet and rabbits this year. Some are barely above ground and trying to flower. Makes the garden look very odd. As if someone has scattered flower heads all over the place. But in this sheltered corner under our little trees and hidden in a forest of last years yarrow stalks these tiny miniature narcissi are shining bright.
