Two big things happened today.

The first was that I decided - after ten years - to abandon Verdana as my corporate typeface of choice in favour of Georgia. I'm wondering if Georgia-rich Blipfoto.com has subliminally affected my judgement here. I'm also using this as an opportunity to re-minimalize the website.

The second big thing was that my elder daughter - the daughter that somehow managed to scrape a Merit in her Grade 3 Piano a couple of weeks ago - texted me from Spain to tell me that she got eight straight 1s in her standard grade exams.

Maybe I put those two big things in the wrong order.
