WHW Day 5 - Bridge of Orchy

This is the view from towards Bridge of Orchy, looking north with Beinn Dorain on the right of the picture.

We decided to split the usual long day today into two days and take it a bit easier ... it is a holiday after all!

The walk today was all gentle ups and downs, except for the climb out of Bridge of Orchy and 9 miles in total from Tyndrum to Inveroran.

We had a drink in the very isolated Inveroran Hotel (well, I had 3 whiskys, and they are proper 35ml measures up here, none of your 25ml nonsense!). My knees felt a bit better after that.

Good pub chat with some Mancunians, Canadians and a guy who works for Burton's biscuits. Suffice it to say that I learnt something about penguin biscuits...

Overnight again at Strathfillan House - the lifts to and from the start/end of each stage is working really well.
