Journey Through Time

By Sue

Oh, my, I'm sorry...

When my auntie saw this on the street, I took the photo, and thought this might be the blip for today. It touched my heart. What happened? A lover's quarrel? A bad break-up? Something painful involving those pesky relationship issues, I'm sure. I hope this person is happier now, although this looks awfully fresh...

We went to West Linn, a small town to the south, to snoop. Found out that the town is awfully cute, but not many shops to look at. Had lunch there, and then auntie suggested we try to get to the Sellwood District. Well...we did. And that's a fun area of Portland to visit, but the traffic seems to be horrendous no matter what day you go, except maybe Monday when a lot of the shops are closed. This is an area full of antique stores, shops, eateries, and more antique/vintage/collectable shops. Oh, and several "Antique Mall" stores. If you want to spend the day looking at old stuff, this is one of the places to go to. This sad message was in Sellwood.

Unfortunately, auntie's arthritis in her foot was really behaving badly, and we didn't get much walking in. So, I wound my way out of there, and made it to a Starbucks for us to have a cold Frappaccino, and then dropped her off and headed home. And the traffic! Where did all these cars come from anyway? Practically white haired (well, more than usual) and throwing up blood, but I made it home in one piece.
