Industrial Montreal - Verdun OI
I have been meaning to take a picture of these big clamp-like industrial things since I started taking the bus to come back to the Verdun subway station after work. Unfortunately, there is no easy way to take a picture since it is surrounded by highways on embankments. So today, in spite of my vertigo, I got up the side embankment of the highway (staying on the safe side of the metal barrier, I promise) and attempted to take a good picture. Unfortunately, there are poles and wires and signs everywhere to block the view. This is the best I could do.
The manufacture is called Owens-Illinois O-I and it manufactures glass bottles. I have no idea what this contraption does, but I know it has not moved since I have been seing it. I might investigate further. If anyone knows or wants to guess, do tell me.
I like the colours on the picture as I played with tints of old rust and pale blues. I do like the graffiti on the building. Overall it has an air of very hot desert-like place in the south of the U.S. rather than lush Montreal.
