A statice relative from Iran, Pakistan and Afganistan. This is the first year, later in life the plant will flower(not very spectacular) set seed and die, This particular collection is from Goteborg Botanic Garden. The DBG form collected in Pakistan has a differnt pattern to the leaves and is almost lost to cultivation
