A new lease of life
Events conspired to persuade me to not go for a run this morning, and so I went for a quick circuit through the streets in Grey Lynn and Ponsonby when I got home after work. Had been a busy day, so no opportunity for a photograph until on my run. After 10 minutes I looked for something to be the subject of my blip, and spotted this building.
I went away from my route and down a short side street to get this picture from the other side. The higher part of the building on the corner is the original old warehouse, and factory of a clothing manufacturer from Auckland's early days. When converted into retail and office space, the westward extension was added to house apartments. Highly sought after as there is no issue of water leaks.
The setting sun was hidden by clouds, but the golden glow from the sky is reflected off the brick work of the apartments.
