Last day in Europe

This is my one and only back blip. As I was getting on the train in The Hague with my friends at the beginning of the trip I had my handbag stolen. I lost my phone, purse but worst of all my little Ixus camera. It was the most sickening experience, we did what we could but in the circumstances an impossible task to retrieve anything. The only thing to do was be rational, I still had my passport, euros and air ticket home. I didn't like my phone, the amount of sterling could have been worse and we were able to contact Mike who immediately cancelled bank cards. So onwards we went.
The week was brilliant, I chose a Shakespeare and a Comedy course, guaranteed to shake off the blues. The morning began at 9am and finished at 9.30pm. We had some newcomers and in true Summer School tradition I made some new friends. At the end of the week I returned to my friend's home near The Hague for one night and we spent a lovely day on Monday in Leiden where I bought this postcard. We took a canal boat trip and had lunch there in the sunshine.
I flew home in the evening and managed to take this 'blip' before crashing.
No time to do anything much as I was due to travel again next day!
