Dazzling dahlia

Second of two days at work. When I got home I took a relaxing tour of the garden with a cuppa and spotted this spectacular dahlia which is turning into a star in the border. It's such a beautiful colour and there are lots of buds on it so it should give a good show for some time yet.
It's been good to try work again after stopping four months ago but I wouldn't want to return to the working world again full time. Since I gave it up I've enjoyed meeting new people in walking and painting groups, not to mention the singing and spending more time with friends. There's a lot to be said for taking life at a more leisurely pace.
