Basket Case

I know! Flowers!
But after yesterday's monochrome effort I fancied a bit of colour & I thought this hanging basket, outside a pub near work, was pretty spectacular.
I think these are Petunias. Associated in folklore with easing feelings of anger & resentment.
More pertinently, it seems they are also closely related to the potato, tomato & chili pepper. Which is fitting as we've just been for a curry to celebrate Booky's Birthday, which is tomorrow (21! Again!).

This is where someone tells me they're not petunias...
