Palm Beach

Today we met up with an Aussie friend of Shaki's who used to teach with her over in the UK, we drove down to Palm Beach about 40km from Sydney and went for lunch at a boathouse overlooking the bay.

This is where they film the Tv series "Home and Away" and much of the outdoor shots are filmed in this location. The views are utterly stunning and the scenery amazing. I have totally fallen in Love with Australia, the peope and the amazing landscapes.

Yes it can at times be busy (8 cars on the highway is busy in the outlaying areas) it can be fast paced, but the attitude is so laid back and for a country that is relatively new, it has a history and aura about it that fascinates me.

I learned today that when the british first landed here, We slaughtered thousands and thousands of aboriginee's, something I wasn't aware of. I apologise on behalf of any of my ancestors.

Such a beautiful Country, I don't want to leave. ;-) xx
