2011 Thursday -- Monterey Bay, California
We spent the entire day enjoying this bay. We ate breakfast at the fourth floor restaurant of the Ocean Resort which can just barely be seen at the upper left corner of the photo it blends in and is the color wet sand (tap the magnifying glass at the bottom of the photo to see it clearly). It is a favorite spot because a number of years ago we sat there eating breakfast and watched the dolphins body surfing. The price of breakfast is comparable to other local places as well.
After eating we did lots of wandering -- through libraries, bookstores, thrift shops, galleries in Carmel, Pacific Grove, and Monterey. We drove the scenic "17 Mile Drive" of Carmel through the heart of Pebble Beach Golf Course. We skipped lunch but enjoyed an early dinner, and captured this view from our table over the water while enjoying the kayakers, the sailboaters, and the seals that climbed upon the rocks just below us.
Back in our hotel room, Mr. Fun downloaded the CDs he purchase at the thrift store and was delighted with the music.
It been a good day! Good night from Monterey.

P.S. This was backblipped because we couldn't connect with the Internet Thursday evening in our room.
