Small Copper

I really don't know why I keep photographing butterflies.

I do not like them, freaky little floaty things, I spend ages getting them in focus and then jumping back shrieking if they fly at me.

I think it's the legs AND the feelers, all a bit reminiscent of something spidery, with the added attack mechanism of wings.




A cursory google reveals the Large Copper is extinct in the UK, I can't say I am sad.
