Lal Ratty

The Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway ( Lal Ratty ) is the longest miniature railway in England. It runs for 7 miles from Ravenglass on the Cumbrian Coast up to Dalegarth in the Eskdale Valley. It was opened in 1875 and it was used for carrying Iron Ore...It now carries thousands of passengers every year! Ravenglass is also on the main coastal railway line from Carlisle to Barrow in Furness.

We have stayed dry for most of the day, but the expected rain has set in now.
