The Puddle

Today we visited Dogwoodpuddle, aka Bob. Fantastic is the best word I can find to describe the day.

DWP invited our whole crew - including James' sister & 3 kids. I gave him several opportunities to back out - as it seemed like an invasion of 7 of us would be a bit much. But he was deaf to my queries and off we went to the Puddle.

I had so much difficulty choosing the picture for the day. There was so much to enjoy - the dogs, the cats, the pony, the cows, the horses, the tramopoline, the walk through the woods, the pool, the hot tub, the toy cars, the piano, the guitar, the food, the wonderful Puddle children, the joy of meeting a family who is as quirky as we are. I hope we did not overstay our welcome, as we all found it difficult to leave until the 2 year olds started becoming cranky from lack of naptime.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. We will return again. And please know that you and your family are always welcome at our place.

Oh, and back to the picture. This is our little Bob and Houdini, who looks remarkably like our cat, Cannon. Bob called him "Little Cannon."

Little Cannon and Bob had the best time together. They followed each other around and their love for one another was completely mutual, as you can see. Our Cannon, is the old diabetic/renal/GI disease kitty. He is doing remarkably well and looked as happy as Houdini when we returned home.
