Odd offerings out & about

Not the croft

We've spent the last 2 weeks in the wilderness of the highlands with few people around us so, for a contrast, we headed up to Glasgow today. Wandering on to Buchanan Street, you are met by a sea of people.

With the new motorway now fully operational it took 25 painless minutes to travel the 20 miles in to the city on a Saturday lunchtime and I got to go to Yo Sushi for the first time where portions of raw meat and fish wheel around you on a continual conveyor belt and you get to help yourself then pay for as much as you've eaten at the end. The whole concept was really cool but I'm not yet really a convert to this type of food. I've read that one of the greatest accelerators to human evolution happened when we learned to cook stuff!

The new high tech road signs advised of heavy rain and floods forecast so we bailed out of the town after 3 hours with only some Starbucks coffee beans to show for our efforts.
