10 Minutes From Home

I was looking at the challenge for the week - to travel 10 minutes from home and take a photo. Lucky me, there is a huge state park/forest 10 minutes from me. I ended up taking about 300 photos this morning and, as usual, deleted most. However, I had a series of photos of the Canadian Geese that I liked. This is my husband's favorite, so it will be by challenge entry.

These geese live here year-round and are quite a nuisance (they are prolific poopers!) but I still enjoy watching them. There is something quite soothing about watching them preen and groom themselves. This one was very purposefully splashing water on its back - pretty neat!
