Balkissock Lodge

No prizes for guessing what this is a model of...!

This is the original Balkissock Lodge. The oldest part of the building is to the left and the rest was added a few years after. The property itself is dated at 1832 so it?s not doing too badly for 180 years old.

It was built as a shooting lodge and has been a home for a number of years. It?s now divided into three properties. Wwhat is now known as Balkissock Lodge (originally The Lodge, Balkissock) is to the right (the two storey which we call our house and the single story which we call our cottage ? no idea why).

The model was in the house when we moved in so we?re not too sure about how it came to be made or why. It was damaged (not by us) and is missing a chimney pot off the high roof.
