Pressed for time
Some of the jars of tomato purée we now have stored for the winter - the bigger jars at the back contain yellow ananas and Languedocian red tomatoes, the smaller jars in front are the result of my pressing 23 roasted long Andes tomatoes through the mouli légumes - it's always amazing how they reduce!
A quick blip this morning as we're busy getting the house ready for visitors and will be off to the airport this afternoon to meet son and two nephews....the fun and proper summer start here and I may not have much time for commenting over the next week or so.
We had a lovely time yesterday evening - music, Occitan stories, delicious paella, three women with amazing voices who went round and sang a capella at each table while we were eating, excellent wine, of course, and the rain didn't start until we were just about ready to drive home watching distant flashes of lightning all around the sky but not too close to us.
