The only cat left

We have had a succession of cats over the last 25 years and this resident in the gravel garden is the only non-living one we have had.

It would be wonderful to have another cat, but not practical at present as we come and go at intervals. The last cat that took up residence adopted us as his main carers, but also cultivated a small group of devoted fans in the neighbourhood who would step in to care for him if we were away. He was a charmer, knew how to get what he wanted and led a good life. Many lessons were learned from his behaviour.

When I look out of the kitchen window and see this cat it reminds me of all the cats we have had as members of this family and the joys that they provided.

PS This is the only one that has not cost an arm and a leg in vets bills!!
