This is the early morning sun as seen from our homeward-bound ferry.

Back home by 8 am and back to reality.

Our giant sunflower is in bloom, is now over 12 ft tall and (typically) is facing beautifully into our neighbour's garden. Had to be content with sweet peas, hollyhocks and nasturtiums which have all taken off while we've been away.

Huge thunderstorms and rain today - it seems like we left France in August and have returned home in October.
