Apple Cart Festival

The Apple Cart in Victoria Park today proved to be just right. A bit of mud, heavy rain and overpriced cider (£4 a bottle) helped with the festival ambience but tea in china cups, chairs, lots of space and many portaloos made the whole experience quite relaxing. The highlights for me had to be Badly Drawn Boy who I had wanted to see live for ages. (he didn't disappoint) and of course Tim Minchin. The comedy tent was also pretty cool. Jon Richardson was funny, despite being soaked watching him by torrential rain, and Doc Brown was hilarious. the literary death match was just bizarre but the tea by the WI was much appreciated.
