The Dreamer
I had never been into George Square gardens before so we went for a wander there after church, looking at the many venues for fringe shows that we won't be attending, then came across this unusual sculpture.
Entitled The Dreamer, it was made by Chris Hall and dedicated to a remarkable lady, Dr Winifred Rushforth, OBE. It was unveiled by Prince Charles who was introduced to her by Laurens van der Post.
The sculpture is in two halves with one side carved in relief and the other in hollow relief, as a negative.
We squelched our way to the exit, promising ourselves to return when the festival has vacated the gardens.
