The Ochil Hills from Stirling Castle
I was going to post a very similar shot to MaggieD's and go "SNAP" but thought better of it.
So here is a photo from the other side of the castle, looking north-west. The distant peak is Dumyat (say "du-my-at") and the slightly blurry obelisk in the middle distance is the Wallace Monument. Oh, and Rona & Isla in the foreground.
We took a walk down through the cemetary to the Ladies Rock (again, see MaggieD's blip) where the ladies of the royal court would sit and watch the fun in the tilt-yard, safe from the blood and splintered bones.
Returning to the castle esplanade, we discovered that a number of tour buses had arrived and the whole place was busy with several nationalities keen to absorb some medieval Scottish history - the same as most peoples but probably even more blood-thirsty!
Back home and Isla is trying to persuade M to give her a cuddle (not difficult!)while Rona is snoring loudly on her perch by the window!
