Obligotary midday rest

Here you see our bikes with everything on them: clothing, tent, cooking equipment, sleeping bags, sleeping mats, chairs, books, spare bike parts, etc etc. All very lightweight, but still quite some stuff.

The third day might be the toughest: the previous days are still clearly present in the leg muscles but you haven't had enough training to cope with it. Add the strong headwinds and you might get why we needed a little rest...

Interesting detail on this image would change quite soon for both our bikes: the ability to stand upright...
